Mark your calendars for Saturday Night May 11th! LIVE Music provided by Memphis' premier party band "The Memphis Deftonz"! Admission is $15 at the door. Relive all your memories of those great days (and some not so great days) at Bishop Byrne High School with your friends from ALL graduating classes! All graduating classes and friends of Bishop Byrne are invited! from the first class in 1965 through the last in 2013.
Commemorative-Shirts are also available. We are still in need of SEVERAL alumni email addresses. If you ever worked on a reunion committee and have contact information PLEASE forward that information to me so we can update our Alumni database. If you can help us locate some our lost alumni
please let me know. We need all the help we can get! The last thing we want is for someone not to know that BBHS is closing and miss the opportunity to walk through the halls one last time. ***** ITINERARY ***** As our May 11th "One More Knight" all alumni reunion party draws nearer we have more things to add to the event schedule. Here is what we have so far: 4pm: Mass at St. Paul's Catholic Church Mass said for Students, Faculty and Alumni of Bishop Byrne High School. If you are interested in putting together a small choir please arrive at 3pm to practice. Let's fill the sanctuary with alumni! 5PM - Spaghetti Dinner The Knights of Columbus are offering to cook for those who are interested. (For a very small per-person cost) It will be served at the KofC Hall next to the church and behind the convent. If you are interested in attending this dinner please contact Sharon Heizer Lancaster (84) at CraftedBySharon@yahoo.com. 7pm: Lineup of Classic Cars If you have a vintage car, truck or motorcycle from the 60's 70's or 80's and would like to have your vehicle displayed in front of the commons entrance (like it might have been 'back in the day') please contact Terry Sweeney (75) via email - sweeneysouth@gmail.com. If there are enough entries we might even give out a trophy for the alumni favorite. 7:30: "Walk the Halls" This event will be even more fun than when you might have done it with just your graduating class. With alumni in attendance from 1965 through today you can learn what used to happen in the classrooms before you arrived and what happened there after you graduated from Bishop Byrne. 8PM : The party officially gets underway! The Silent Auction begins. So far we have items from Lexus of Memphis, 1910 Frameworks, Bally's/ Resort's Casino, Cook's Pest Control, FedEx St.Jude Golf Tournament, Folk's Folly, Germantown Community Theatre, Golf & Games, Graceland, The Memphis Grizzlies, Lindamood Bell Learning Centers, the Memphis Chicks, Piccadilly Cafeterias, Playhouse on the Square, Vineyard Vines, the Memphis Zoo, Autographed books from Ron Hall's Memphis Garage Band series and Wrestling movie "Memphis Heat". There are more items arriving daily. If you have goods or services you would like to donate to the Alumni Association for our Silent Auction please contact Leonard Temple (78) via email All proceeds go to the Alumni Association (and no where else!)
8:30pm: The Memphis Deftonz take the stage * 9pm: We take a composite photo *of all alumni for the commemorative "I was there" photo. Photographer Terry Sweeney will have 8x10's available for purchase. For questions about photos please contact Terry - terry@sweeneysouth.com 10pm: The Silent Auction closes. Midnight: We all sadly say goodbye to our old alma mater. -but we'll keep a lifetime of friends and memories! I thank you all for your attention and remind you once again to send in your registration forms and make contact with your classmates and make sure they know about our All Alumni Reunion.
